About Me
Hello and Welcome to Arty Artisans!
I’m Kim (Mrs Hutchinson), the creative mind and teacher behind Arty Artisans.
As a mum of three and a qualified Art & Design teacher, I created Arty Artisans to share my passion for creativity and to make art accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring for everyone.
I believe in fostering a relaxed, supportive, and nurturing environment where students can grow in confidence, develop their creativity, and explore their own unique artistic interests, aspirations and inspirations at their own pace.
I am a dedicated art educator with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE in Art & Design from the Institute of Education in London, alongside a BA (Honours) Degree in Spatial Design from the University of Falmouth. With extensive experience as a Head of Art & Design, I have developed strong expertise in teaching and learning leadership, art examinations, and curriculum development.
I also have comprehensive knowledge of a range of exam boards, including Edexcel, BTEC, AQA, OCR, and IGCSE, enabling me to provide tailored support as a private tutor and adviser.
Since beginning my teaching journey in 2009, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of exciting educational settings, each shaping my creative and inclusive approach to teaching. I wholeheartedly believe that creativity should feel limitless, freeing, and accessible to all.
My passion is to inspire students to unlock their creative potential and embark on their own unique artistic adventures.
Inclusivity is at the heart of every Arty Artisans learning experience. As a proud member of the neurodivergent community, I firmly believe that embracing diversity creates richer, more inspiring, and meaningful creative environments. By celebrating different ways of thinking, learning, and expressing creativity, we can cultivate spaces where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow, create, and confidently express themselves.
.

My Experience:
